In this documentary, we follow participants as they take their very first steps into the winter-white wilderness, venturing out on Explorer – the classic journey where many experience snowshoes, biting cold, and sweeping Nordic landscapes for the very first time.
Since the documentary was originally filmed, the Höga Kusten Winter Hike has grown and evolved, much like the people who return to it year after year. Today, the adventure offers three distinct paths through the same glittering World Heritage landscape: Expedition, for those seeking challenge and nights spent in tents under the winter sky. Explorer, for hikers who want to learn, discover, and grow alongside their group. And now also Pathfinder – an option designed around beautiful day hikes, with the comfort of a warm cabin waiting when night settles over the High Coast.
No matter which path you choose, the Winter Hike is about more than simply moving from one point to another. It’s about encounters. About courage. About the quiet moment when you stand in the frozen silence and realize that this – right here – is where your adventure truly begins.
