Set out on a true winter expedition through the spectacular landscapes of the High Coast World Heritage Site. We head out together but hike at our own pace, crossing mountains and forests before setting up camp for the night at our shared basecamp in the heart of the winter landscape. Your tent and sleeping bag are transported, allowing you to hike with a lighter pack. Want to take the challenge one step further? Choose Expedition Raw and carry all your own gear.

Discover the best of the High Coast World Heritage Site in winter.
With FriluftsByn as our base, we head out on a new adventure each day – towards snow-covered peaks, breathtaking views and into Skuleskogen National Park. We hike with light daypacks and can adapt each day’s challenge to the conditions and how we’re feeling, before returning to the warmth and community of FriluftsByn.

WINTER HIKE
Since 2014, the High Coast Winter Hike has brought together adventurers from Sweden and around the world for a few unforgettable winter days filled with spectacular nature, new challenges and great company.
We take care of snowshoes, food, transport, guides, courses and the After-Hike. You bring your personal gear and choose whether to experience the adventure through Expedition or Discovery.
Guides are there along the trails to show the way and help out when needed, while you still have the freedom to find your own pace. And the experience continues long after the day’s hike – with good times, new friends and a final After-Hike together in FriluftsByn.
