TRAVEL TO THE HIGH COAST
It is really easy to get to the High Coast and FriluftsByn. Best thing is to fly in to Stockholm Arlanda. From here you can take a connecting flight, train or bus to the adventure. You could also rent a car at Arlanda and take a 5 hour drive north on the E4 motorway, it is supereasy to find the way – you drive out on the E4 and stay on the road all the way before you take a left turn and you are at FriluftsByn. Below is some more information.
CAR TO THE HIGH COAST
Take your own car or rent one and drive up to the High Coast. FriluftsByn and Skuleberget is located about 30 kilometers south of Örnsköldsvik, a 5 hour drive from Stockholm. It is supereasy to get here – just type in “FriluftsByn” on Google Maps and follow the directions. You will actually only drive on one road – the E4 motorway and then just make one turn to get to FriluftsByn. Parking is 5 Euro for your entire stay.
BUS TO THE HIGH COAST
With Y-Buss you can travel from Stockholm Cityterminal and Arlanda Airport and get off only 1,5 kilometer from FriluftsByn. You get off at the bus stop “Docksta Marina” and from there it is a 15-20 minute walk to FriluftsByn. You can book your seat on the bus in December when they open their bookings for 2020. Below were the timings for 2019. Usually they are the same every year.

TRAIN TO THE HIGH COAST
With nine departures daily between Stockholm Central Station and Örnsköldsvik you have plenty of options. Just make sure you get to Örnsköldsvik in time for the buses to Skule Naturum / FriluftsByn. The buses from Örnsköldsvik to Skule Naturum / FriluftsByn depart from the Örnparken – just a 600 meter walk from where you get off the train. For bus schedule check below.

FLY TO THE HIGH COAST
From Stockholm Arlanda you can fly with SAS from Stockholm to Örnsköldsvik Airport. When you arrive at Örnsköldsvik Airport make sure to have pre-booked a shared taxi to the city center by calling +46 660 100 00. Ask the taxi to take you to Örnparken in the center of Örnsköldsvik. From here you take the bus to Skule Naturum / FriluftsByn – see schedule below – and walk the last 1,5 kilometers.

BUS ÖRNSKÖLDSVIK TO FRILUFTSBYN
If you arrive by plane or train to Örnsköldsvik you need to get to Örnparken in the center of Örnsköldsvik. It is a 600 meter walk from the Travel Center if you arrive by train. From the busstop you take buss no.50 from Örnsköldsvik Örnparken to Skule Naturum. When you get off you have an about 1,5 kilometer walk to FriluftsByn.

EXPRESS BUS
14/2 – At Wednesday at 22:05 there is also an express bus from Örnsköldsvik Travel Center to Docksta Marina (1,6 km from FriluftsByn). You then arrive in Docksta at 22:25.
