TSL SNOWSHOES / KLINGHEIMS
Klingheim has played a huge role in developing the Swedish snowshoe culture and together with the snowshoe-maker TSL they help making the Winter Hike possibly by making sure all participants can borrow a pair of snowshoes.
Meet Klingheims:
Thursdag morning: Before we set out on Thursday Klingheims will give us an introduction to hiking with snowshoes. They will show you how to adjust them properly to fit your boots for example. Klingheims will also be there throughout the adventure to assist when needed.
NATURKOMPANIET
Naturkompaniet is Sweden’s leading outdoor brand retailstore and their staff is the most knowlagable in the business. They will be at the event to make sure you have the best possible experience.

Thursday morning: Before heading out on Thursday Naturkompaniet will be there to show you what to think about when packing and how to adjust your backpack properly, among other things.
Thursday night camp at Tärnättvattnet: Naturkompaniet will give you their favorite tips and tricks on how to make the best night camp for a good nights sleep in your tent and sleeping bag. The course will be helt twice, once at 17:00 and once at 20:00.
WOOLPOWER
Woolpower is a wool specialist with all production in Östersund not to far west from FriluftsByn. What we really like with woolpower is that the seamstresses quality mark the garments they sew by stitching their own name tags inside them.

Thursday morning: Befsore heading out Woolpower will give us their greatest tips on how to dress right for this winter adventure.
Friday night camp Kälsviken: At 19:00 on the second evening at the night camp in Kälsviken you have the opportunity to try out the incredible qualities of wool during the Woolpower Dip. To participate in the Woolpower Dip you sign up on Thursday morning during the Introduction to winter hiking seminar.
GRÄNSFORS BRUK
Over more than 100 years, Gränsfors Bruks AB has handcrafted axes with a focus on quality and environmental responsibility. Much depends on the experience and skill of the individual craftsman, hence each axe is signed with the smith’s initials as a guarantee of quality.
Meet Gränsfors Bruk
Thursday morning: We’ll meet Gränsfors Bruk who’ll tell us about the process of creating the perfect axe.
Fri at Skrattabbortjärn: Between 12:00 and 16:00 you have the opportunity to learn how to make up a fire with the help of an axe and a knife.
